Can you believe it is May already? I find it amazing during winter hours we look forward to Spring and Summer so that we can get outside and work and play in the yard. I have so many projects lined up this season and I don't know where to start. Projects like, mulching, weeding, new grass seed, transplanting, re-stoning driveway, trimming back tree limbs, pressure washing, edging, repairing and/or replacing hoses and tools, I could go on and on, not to mention the new ideas to make my backyard into a "summer playground". I usually get a lot done but it isn't any wonder why I hibernate during winter... I'm exhausted. I've decided to take it easy this year and do a little work during certain nights after work. My yard is not 100% up to par but hey I'm feeling less stressed. I still have the rest of spring and summer to go. Here at Choptank Supply we keep most seasonal items year round which benefit our customers when they decide to start a new project. We welcome our customers seasonally, monthly, weekly and daily. So at the start of each new project feel free to come in and get the supplies you need. We enjoy hearing about your projects and look forward to helping you get through them. Remember spring and summer are supposed to be fun!
If you are excited about springtime as I am then you are ready to get your lawnmower out and start cutting soon. However, isn't it amazing that our power equipment, tools, and other outdoor merchandise isn't as prepared as we are to get outside. Inevitably our lawnmower doesn't start, we forgot about the broken rake handle, the fertilizer is as hard as a rock, and those pesky mice have made mess with our grass seed. I usually start pulling all my "stuff" out of the shed and start reorganizing. I find hoses that weren't drained properly, turned over and cracked flower pots, missed placed tools, (when did I use the shovel this past winter), and many other areas in the shed where the mice had parties. Now I've once again lost that excitement for spring and realize I'm going to be off to a bad start. Then I realize March is a great time to get out in the shed and garage and get the "toys" ready for their first day of work. Spring is in the air and I will get my power equipment started and prepped. I will sharpen my blades, fix my handles, re-string my trimmer, purchase new hoses, and deal with the mice. Here at Choptank Supply we know Spring is as important to us yard dwellers as Christmas is to children. Bring your Stihl power equipment in, browse through our outdoor merchandise, and enjoy the new ideas and projects you take on this year. Were here to help because Spring is in the air!
Everyone knows winter is usually cold and wet. Snow happens upon us and then the ice and slush soon follow. What do we think of purchasing in this "perilous" season? Snow shovels, ice melt, gloves, hats and heaters. However, we don't consider our feet that much though. A great waterproof and insulated boot can turn a miserable outdoor winter experience into a fun winter experience. To be fair if not a fun experience at least a much more manageable adventure! I despise cold, wet feet. I purchased a pair of Red Wing shoes and have found that trudging through our lumberyard in unsavory conditions have led me to a much more tolerable winter.
When the journey begins to shop for this newly winter apparel, consider your working or playing conditions that will impact the best choice of footwear. We sell a variety of styles and brands of footwear. Red Wing, Muck Boots, Noble Outfitters and Lacrosse are our most preferred among customers.
